May 2022 - PHE Is Honored with Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton’s Life-Time Achievement Award!
/On Earth Day, Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton recognized PHE for 25 years of outstanding support to the Air Station's environmental mission. PHE personnel travelled to the Air Station to receive the "Life-Time Achievement Award." Colonel David Moore, Air Station Commanding Officer, presented the commendation. Major David Chester represented the Environmental Department.
PHE's support to the Air Station began in the mid-1990s through our Headquarters United States Marine Corps (HQMC) Environmental Core Support contracts. Direct support of Air Station environmental programs soon followed, starting in 2007 and continuing to the present. Key services have included sustainability planning; environmental planning; compliance plans and studies development; EMS implementation and training; and onsite staffing for EMS, CETEP, and hazardous waste compliance. Further exciting projects are being explored for the future.
In his introductory remarks at the awards ceremony, Major Chester recognized the value of enduring partnerships. At PHE, it is indeed gratifying to partner with friends and professionals who are passionate about what they do, including partners like the Air Station Environmental Department. We are proud of the great work PHE has done at the Air Station over the past 25 years, but also want to acknowledge the significant efforts and success of the Air Station Environmental Department in integrating environmental stewardship and mission excellence. Here's to many more years of this fruitful partnership!
